(Updated on 7/28/2026, 6 Haitian Creole audio files added, corresponding to each sentence in the Miranda Rights)
Miranda rights are read to suspects who are about to be interrogated by the police.
As a Haitian Creole translator, I have worked on some transcription projects where the Miranda rights were not accurately translated from English to Haitian Creole.
In such situations, the Haitian suspect doesn’t fully grasp his rights under the law.
To help law enforcement officers, I am translating those Miranda warnings from English to Haitian Creole.
On this page, you will find the following.
1- Each Miranda right warning.
2-Its corresponding translation into Haitian Creole.
3-And 6 short audio recordings where you can listen and learn the proper pronunciation in Haitian Creole. Each Haitian Creole sentence is pronounced 3 times (at 2 different speeds) to allow you to hear each word clearly.
4-A downloadable image with all 5 Miranda rights.
